Meet the 7th Grade Team!
Mrs. Van De CarrHello! My name is Mrs. Van De Carr, and I am one of the humanities teachers. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a middle school language arts endorsement. I just finished my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. This is my 8th year at Lincoln Middle School, but I have been within the district for 10 years. I am married and have three wonderful kids. My son, Brett, is 10 years old and my twin daughters, Brianna and Kaylee, are 4. We are definitely a busy family! I am looking forward to getting back to doing what I love and having a successful school year!

Mr. NiezgodaHello! My name is Mr. Niezgoda. I am joining the 7th grade team at Lincoln Middle School as a Humanities teacher. I have both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in English from Elmhurst College. I have taught middle and high school ELA over the past eleven years, and I am very excited to return to teaching in the middle school setting. As a class, Humanities will give us the opportunity to not only explore the ways in which literature is universally, culturally, and historically connected to the human experience, but also our own connections to humanity. I look forward to meeting you, learning with you, and having an all-around amazing year!

Mrs. RimskyHello! This will be my seventh year teaching Humanities at Lincoln Middle School. I have a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, both from Roosevelt University. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree, I spent a month volunteering as an English tutor to women in Tanzania, Africa. I loved it and when I returned home, I was even more passionate about cultures and teaching. I believe that asking questions and getting outside of your comfort zone can open your heart and mind to things you never imagined possible. I absolutely love hanging out with my daughter, Iris, our favorite activities are going on long walks, playing at the park, and swimming at Lake Michigan. I also love to read, hike, and travel; I traveled to Czech Republic this summer. I am looking forward to a fun, positive, and productive school year!

Mrs. KaminskiHello Lincoln! My name is Mrs. Kaminski and I am very excited to start my first full year of teaching. I will be teaching 7th grade science this year at Lincoln. I went to Elmhurst College where I received my bachelor’s degree in biology and secondary education in December of 2017. I grew up in Franklin Park so I am very familiar with the Schiller Park area. I remember traveling to Lincoln as a Mannheim Falcon when I was in middle school and thinking how beautiful the school was. Now I am lucky enough to teach here. I just got married this summer and am enjoying life as a newlywed. I am looking forward to teaching at Lincoln and learning all about the students and community here. I am dedicated to making 7th grade science fun, relevant, and exciting for students. I look forward to getting to know you.
